Glow Plugs

Hard to start your diesel car in the mornings? In this case the customer had 2 glow plugs that were burnt out causing hard starts in the morning.

Using the multi meter to help us find the naughty plugs. Always good practice to replace all 4 glow plugs at the same time.

Cabin/Pollen Filter Change

Cabin/Pollen Filter Change

This is the last line of defense between you and the outside world when it comes to having a pleasant interior.

By keeping the pollen filter clean you can help improve the performance of your ventilation or air conditioning system and most importantly the QUALITY of AIR you in your car.

Spring Shocker!

Always a good measure to replace coil springs as a pair. Replacing in pairs will return a vehicle to its original ride height and comfort. However when just one spring is replaced, an imbalance will most likely be created resulting in an uneven ride. This can lead to more stress being exerted on the spring that has not been replaced, reducing its life expectancy.

Brake pipe Corrosion

Brake pipe Corrosion

Common fault on the older vehicles in particular as this BMW E36. Rear brake pipes were excessively corroded. Customer wanted this done straight away as he uses it daily and safety comes first. Unfortunately the process for making the brake pipes are easy..but the access is not so simple. To do the job properly removal of the exhaust, prop shaft, fuel tank, handbrake cables, few interior components has to be removed and the list is endless. New brake lines and brake hoses fitted. Another safe car on the road giving the owner confidence of doing an emergency stop if needed. No job too big or small.

Tyre Pressure

Tyre pressure is one of the simplest but most important factors in keeping your vehicle safe, efficient, and comfortable to drive.
Here’s why it matters:

  1. Safety Braking performance – Underinflated tyres increase stopping distance, especially in wet conditions. Grip & handling – Incorrect pressure affects how the tyre’s tread meets the road, reducing cornering stability. Blowout risk – Overinflated or severely underinflated tyres are more prone to sudden failure at high speeds.
  2. Tyre lifespan Uneven wear – Low pressure wears out the outer edges faster, while high pressure wears the center more quickly. Premature replacement – Constantly driving on incorrect pressures can reduce tyre life by thousands of kilometers.
  3. Fuel efficiency Underinflated tyres create more rolling resistance, forcing the engine to work harder. Even a small pressure drop (e.g., 0.3 bar / 4 psi) can increase fuel consumption by 2–4%.
  4.  Ride comfort Overinflated tyres make the ride harsher and more bumpy. Proper inflation ensures the tyre absorbs road shocks as designed.

Environmental impact More fuel burned = more CO₂ emissions.
Tyres that wear out faster add to landfill waste and manufacturing demand.
✅ Good habit: Check tyre pressure at least once a month and before long trips, using the manufacturer’s recommended PSI/bar (found in the driver’s door frame, fuel cap, or manual).
