Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of services provided by GJ Motors & MOT (trading as GJ Motors), an independent vehicle repair and MOT testing garage located at 17 Plough Way, London, SE16 2LS.

GJ Motors & MOT is an independent business and is not affiliated with any other business of a similar name.

By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in their entirety. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

Service Agreement

GJ Motors provides vehicle repairs, servicing, MOT testing, and other related garage services. All services are carried out professionally and within reasonable timeframes.

All work is subject to these Terms and Conditions together with any written estimates, quotations, or work orders issued.

Pricing and Payments

Prices for services and parts are provided following inspection or quotation. All prices include VAT unless stated otherwise.

Customers must provide accurate and complete information about their vehicle, including make, model, year, and any known faults or requirements.

Full payment is due upon completion of all work unless prior arrangements have been agreed in writing before work begins.

While we make every effort to honour quotations, prices may need to be adjusted if additional or unforeseen work is identified. Any such work will be discussed and authorised by the customer before proceeding.

Promotions and Offers

All promotions, discounts, and special offers must be requested and agreed at the time of booking or when receiving a quotation.

Customers must inform us of any promotion or offer they have seen before work commences. We are unable to apply discounts or special pricing after work has started, during payment, or once the job has been completed.

Senior Citizens, NHS & Key Worker Discounts

Proof of eligibility is required for all discounted offers, including senior citizen, NHS, or key worker promotions. Acceptable proof must be shown before work begins.

Eligibility and terms of any promotion will be explained at the time of booking or quotation. Discounts cannot be applied retrospectively.

Pensioner Service Discount

Save £15 on a vehicle service with our pensioner discount. To qualify, customers must book a service and present valid photo ID before work starts. The discount cannot be applied once work has commenced or after completion.

Parts and Materials

We use quality parts and materials for all repairs unless otherwise requested by the customer.

If a customer requests specific, customer-supplied, or refurbished parts, GJ Motors will not be responsible for additional costs, delays, or any impact this may have on warranties.

Warranty

GJ Motors provides a warranty on parts supplied and labour carried out, subject to the applicable warranty terms at the time of service.

Warranty duration and coverage will be clearly explained before work begins.

The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, neglect, or faults arising from customer-supplied or refurbished parts.

Vehicle Storage

If payment is not made for completed work, GJ Motors reserves the right to exercise a lien, allowing us to retain the vehicle until the outstanding balance is paid.

Vehicles left on the premises beyond a reasonable collection period or due to unpaid invoices may incur a daily storage charge.

We are not responsible for loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings left in vehicles. Customers are advised to remove all valuables before leaving their vehicle with us.

Liability and Limitations

We will take reasonable care and skill in providing our services but will not be liable for unforeseen damage, loss, or injury resulting from necessary repair processes.

We are not responsible for pre-existing faults, hidden defects, or issues that become apparent during repairs.

We will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the services provided.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers must provide accurate information about their vehicle and authorise any additional or unforeseen work before it is carried out.

Customers are responsible for arranging transport to and from the garage.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.

Amendments

GJ Motors & MOT reserves the right to amend or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated terms will take effect immediately upon publication on our website or via other communication channels.
